The trend changed due to the popularity of superstars like Michael Jordan, who if wears Nike shoes, people say good bye to Adidas. Flannel shirts, oversize pants and worn-in shoes became very popular among people of that time.
The style of urban clothing totally changed in the 21st century, because hip-hop artists and designers launched their own lines. Tommy Hilfiger, Boss Jeans, Lugz and FUBU clothing became popular among general public.
