Who’s not acquainted with the High School Musical trilogy? You’d have to be outdated not to have watched these wonderfully bubbly movies centered on the time of our life that most of us are bound to look back upon with nostalgia – high school.The High School Musical 3 Senior Year movie starring Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale Corbin Bleu and Lucas Grabeel, manages to keep you totally entertained for the hour and forty minutes of its duration.
Produced by Bill Borden, Barray Rosenbush, Don Schain and Kenny Ortega, the movie’s directed by Kenny Ortega of the mega-documentary This Is It featuring the rehearsal footage of the late Michael Jackson.
The lead characters of this movie are Troy and Gabriella that play the role of teenagers in the high school. High school phase of Troy and Gabriella’s life is about to end. On one hand they are excited about forthcoming college life and on the other side they are bothered about the separate ways they will have to depart in as they have chosen colleges located in different locations. Troy has chosen to move to University of New Mexico while Gabriella decides to join the Julliard School of Arts located in the fast-paced Big Apple.
The other characters in the movie include Sharpay (Ashley Tisdale), and her twin brother Ryan (Lucas Grabeel), as well as Chad (Corbin Bleu) and Taylor (Monique Coleman), Troy’s basketball mate and Gabriella’s best pal who also are faced with the prospects of leaving their safe high school world behind. Zac and Vanessa manage with great ease to play the lead roles to the hilt, singing and dancing with as much ease as filming the other scenes in the movie.
Troy and Gabriella decide to perform on stage along with the other Wildcats on stage to commemorate the lovely memories they have experienced together at their high school. Troy and Gabriella have planned this musical performance on the colourful springtime. Songs of High School Musical 3 have amazed its listeners once again with their melodiousness.
Kenny Ortega has received accolades for the great job he’s done with directing the musical. He’s said to have brought audiences back to the musicals’ market. Credit must also be given to the amazing dance routines that definitely form the highlights of this musical comedy that also includes shades of romance. These elements manage to make the movie light and enjoyable – a true form of escapism though the scenario is one taken from real life.
